In our idyllic Palatinate noble wine village, we – the vintager-family Wendel – already resident for many generations. Wine-growing in Bockenheim has a tradition of more than 1200 years and has its seeds in the "Old Romans”.
Based on their tradition, our winery is specialized in cultivation and projected development of high-quality wines.We would be glad to offer you at your visit a tasting of our excellent red-, white- and rosé-wines of our own vineyards, as well as our sparkling wines and liquors. Certainly, wine and other articles of own manufacture can be sold direct to you.
Besides our vintage wines (for example "Riesling”), we also offer you at our winery a romantic ambience for recreational and adventurous holidays.
You will stay in rustic two-bed-rooms or modern apartments. We charge 30,00 EUR per person and night, including an original Farmer’s Breakfast and a "nightcap”.
Our unique cultivated landscape, which is of great historical relevance, invites you to adventurous experiences and investigations in the surrounding area.
The famous historical towns Worms (cathedral and city of the Nibelungen-Saga), Mainz (Gutenberg-Museum, inventor the letterpress), Speyer (cathedral, imperial’s and bishop’s residence) and Universitiy town Heidelberg (castle), as well as Kaiserslautern (Opel, Car-factory), are located nearby and can be reached quickly by car, bus or train, as well as the big attractive adventure park, called "Holidaypark”, in Haßloch, which can also be reached by car within approximately 30 minutes.
The international airports in Frankfurt and Ramstein are located about one hour from our village, the airport in Mannheim about 30 minutes.
